Sassy is the sweetest girl, just a little misunderstood. She has some fear of males, but she has gotten better. She just needs a slow introduction. She has been looking for her forever family for a long time. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She gets along great with most dogs (especially male dogs), loves to run and play, and just wants someone to love her for her.
This little beauty came in as an owner surrender. She has been through a lot in her short life, being handed off to one person after another! She is safe now and looking for her forever, no more bouncing around! Loretta is a little sweetheart with a little dose of "don't mess with me". She does well with other dogs, but will stand her ground if another dog decides to be mean. She absolutely LOVES to play with the hose and chase the water all over! A home without young children would be best for Loretta and we are unsure about cats, although she seems to ignore them. Are you the one to give Loretta her forever and always?
Pippy came in as an owner surrender for fighting with the other dogs in the home over people food. SInce being in the shelter, she has not barked at another dog or shown any aggression. As a matter of fact, she is quiet, respectful, calm, and sooo loving! She is looking for a home with a patient family that understands she may need to be crated or removed during meal times, at least untiil she learns some manners. While she seems to be fine with the other dogs, we think a single dog home may be better for her, unless her new family is willing to work with her people food obsession! She really is a wonderful dog! Are you her one and only?
King showed up as a puppy with his three litter mates one day and the finders tried to keep and care for them all. He was loved, but he spent his whole first year in a kennel, with his littermates. He is very sweet and cuddly and good with other dogs. He is scared in the shelter, but he is catching on to the routine. He does need to learn how to walk on a leash and he will need to be house trained, but he is smart boy and is already not going potty in his kennel! He has never lived outside of a kennel, but we bet he would love to snuggle on the couch with his forever person!
Shea showed up as a puppy with her three litter mates one day and the finders tried to keep and care for them all. She was loved, but she has never lived anywhere except a kennel, with her littermates. She is sweetheart, a bit camera shy, and good with other dogs. She will need to learn how to walk on a leash. She has never been walked, so she does not understand it yet. She has never lived outside of a kennel, but she doesn't want to do that anymore. She wants a forever home!
Miss Willow was adopted, but sadly she was returned. The reason? Separation anxiety!! She just wants to be with her people! She gets along with most dogs, is calm, loves to snuggle, loves to lay in the sun and may even play in the water with you. Willow needs a forever home! She was found as a stray, starving and hot, over a year ago, spent months in the shelter, then weeks in another shelter, to finally be adopted, only to be returned for loving too much! Who wants to show Willow that it's ok to love with all your heart?
We are still learning about Bullet, but he is a really good boy and seems to do well with other dogs and kids, not so much cats! He walks well on a leash and loves to run and play. He is a silly boy who just wants love!
We are still learning about Rylo, however we were told that he needs to be an only dog, no cats, and no small children. He is very sweet, wants all the love, has a loud bark, walks great on a leash, and has not been aggressive toward other dogs. He does seem to have kennel aggression, meaning when he is in the kennel and others aren't, he gets upset, but when he is out of the kennel he does fine. Ideally, a single pet home would be great, but he may do well with one other dog and slow introductions.
We are still learning about Werther, but so far, he has been a wonderful guest! He is a little silly, loves attention, is quiet, and seems to get along with other dogs. He does have to use a harness. He can't have a collar and leash, because of past trauma to his trachea.
Mowgli has been waiting a long time to find his person. He is a sweet guy who has a bit of energy. He loves to play, run, and get all of the attention that he can. Come meet this good looking boy and see if you want to make his dreams come true!
This gorgeous boy has had a rough life and because of that, the will need an experienced adopter. He is good with cats and dogs and is very calm, but he does love to run!
Max is a 9 year old, neutered, (likely) German Shepherd mix.
He was recently surrendered for chasing a cat. He had been in a loving home for 7.5 years and now suddenly finds himself in a loud shelter.
He has been nothing but sweet since coming to the shelter though!
He needs a calm home, where he can just be loved and cared for.
If you think you could give Max the home he very much deserves, please complete an application.
Little Lucy is only 8 months old and is already looking for a new home. She is a bit anxious and needs a bit more practice on potty training, but she is a sweetie. She is in a temporary foster home, waiting to come to the shelter. Can we keep her out of the shelter?!
We will know more soon!!
Cooper is a only 8 months old, and just like Lucy, he is looking for a new home. He needs a little work on potty training, but he is a good boy. He is in a temporary foster home, waiting to enter the shelter. Can we keep him out of the shelter?
We will know more soon!!
Barney was found roaming, begging to get in someone's house. No one claimed this handsome fellow, so now he is ready to find his forever! He is good with other dogs, friendly to everyone, quiet, calm, and just a happy, mopey boy. He is a little older, maybe 5-6 years. He does not like cats and will chase them, so a not cat home is important. If you think you are the perfect home for this guy, fill out an app today.
He is neutered and up to date!
Prince needs a good home! He was adopted once and was returned for protecting his home. He needs someone who is patient and gives him the time he needs to feel safe and secure. He needs someone who undestands that he will protect you and yours. He needs someone who will love him and never let him go. He is good with other dogs and cats. Are you the one who is willing to give him what he needs?
He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to go!
Gypsy was adopted about a year ago and was recently returned through no fault of her own. Gypsy is looking for a home that has time to devote to her. She can be dog selective, especially with smaller dogs, and has a taste for chickens. She is good with kids, but older kids would be better. Ideally, she would be in an only dog home, as she is protective of her person.
She is very smart, listens well, walks great on lead, knows basic commands, is spayed and will be updated on shots.
Lacey was found as a stray. The finder took her to the vet, had her spayed, and her shots updated!! Sadly, he was unable to keep her since his older, resident dog and Lacey did not get along. Lacey has been great at the shelter, but we are still learning about her.
She is still young, about one and a half, and has already been through quite a bit. She would love a place to call her own.
Connelly was left in the parking lot overnight with his two giant "sisters". He is super sweet, loves belly rubs, and loves to play with his toys. We aren't sure of this breed, since he looks like an overgrown pug! He is dog friendly, but does not do so well with cats. He is neutered and will be updated on rabies.
Connelly needs a home where he can be spoiled rotten. He will be losing his big sisters, since no one is going to adopt a trio of dogs, so he will definitely need some extra love.
